Five Senses: Touch
Objectives:
Have students explore, describe, and name different types of textures used in the classroom and world.
Give students an understanding of the science behind how touch works. More specifically the nerve endings under our skin and the path sensory messages take to our brain that help us differentiate distinct textures. Students should be able to write about this process by the end of the lesson.
Creatively construct visual art while focusing on the different textures being used and how they connect to the work of art.
