The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe Book Group
In my aiding placement I worked with a group of "gifted" third grade students through a book group on "The Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe." Below is a lesson sample from this book group and our puppet show presentation at the end of the unit.

- define the literary element "conflict"
- identify the conflict found in chapter six
- outline the formation of the conflict event that occurs in chapter six
- relate chapter six's conflict with the actions of specific characters.

Evidence of Learning:
Puppet Presentation
Students wrote the script for the puppet show based on the "Story Outline" they created during this lesson. They were also able to create the setting/characters based on the descriptions they found in the book.
